Locum Tenens is the Latin phrase for “one holding a place.” Today, it refers to a physician holding or taking the place of another physician, temporarily, for any reason. This mostly refers to temporary physicians working for or in place other Doctors in specific facilities and assignment. Locum Tenens or temporary Doctors work with ProCenture as independent contractors to fulfill these needs in their desired locations around the country. Relocation and Travel Costs—ProCenture will coordinate and pay for your relocation process including travel arrangements, flight plans, and car rentals. We will arrange housing that is suitable for your needs while on assignment.
Licensing and Credentialing—ProCenture will provide an expert who will expedite the process to help make it as stress-free as possible. We can direct the application process and aid with gathering the necessary documents, references, and certifications to enable you to begin to practice as soon as possible.
Malpractice Insurance
Malpractice Insurance is procured as a group policy and shared free of charge to all our locum tenens providers. Having comprehensive malpractice insurance provides a worry free work situation enabling you to concentrate on patient care.
